Welcome to our little slice of heaven, we are a community carved from paleoithic caves, Sassi, literally referred to as "the Stones."  We're nestled in the ancient corner of Italy: Matera, the southern city of Basilicata.

Matera, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, and declared “Cultural Capital of Europe for 2019”, is one of the oldest continuously inhabited settlements on earth, a spectacular series of dwellings hewn in the rock forty thousand years ago.
